Why HerBiceps?

	There is a great deal of pressure on young women to subjugate their physical prowess for the sake of enhancing their image as objects of femininity.  The past several decades have seen considerable progress made in many places for a great number of women, but the idea that a woman can't be both strong and feminine still has strong hold over the minds of the unenlightened.  The resulting societal pressure inhibits the ways in which women comfortably express themselves physically.

	HerBiceps.com is a place that seeks to challenge this mindset by proving its foundation wrong.  We don't present women that are beautiful despite the fact that they are strong, athletic, and muscular; we showcase women whose beauty is enhanced because of these attributes.  

	Focusing on womens' muscles, biceps in particular, is symbolic of what we are all about.  Given the context, a woman with impressive biceps can be a powerful visual.  By presenting these images and ideas in an attractive way, we hope to stand for the ideals of women's empowerment and equality.  

	The fact that we have thousands of daily visitors tells us that there are plenty of people out there that agree with us.
