How long have you been lifting? "I started lifting my sophmore year in high school in weight lifting class."
Athletic Background/Achievements: "I played varsity softball my freshman through junior years. I didnít play my senior year for a couple reasons (way too long of a story to get into), but I went all conference my freshman year, all observer my sophmore year, then my junior year I blew my knee out playing football in the backyard so I didnít get to play."
What empowers/motivates you as an athlete?: "Definatley a good coach, someone who will push me!"
On people's reactions to her lifting weights: "Most people seemed really impressed, and think it looks really sexy!"
Were you always strong, even as a child? "Yes, people always asked me if I was a gymnast! I have to work hard because like all women I tend to get a big butt and hips really easy, especially if I eat unhealthy!"
On the impact lifting has had on her life: "Lifting has been positive for me because it helps my self-esteem and makes me feel good about myself. It also has been a great stress reliever."
On female lifters breaking stereotypes: "I think it is great!!! More power to the women!"
On the battle of the sexes: "I have never challenged a male b/c you just donít do that. You could really crush their manliness!!!! It is fun to talk trash on the playing field though, I am all about that!!!! Sometimes you just HAVE to let them win!! HA HA HA HA HA!!"
