Hobbies/ Interests: "Dancing, Cooking, Jewelry making, Roller-skating, listening to music"

Athletic bacground: "Track and Field, Basketball and Volleyball. I was always teased about the size of my arms, as a kid I was always strong and always looked muscular.

"I have been lifting weights seriously now for 4 years.

"When I started lifting, I had little knowledge of muscle building and technique. Since then, I have made tremendous progress and have become more educated on the human body, on the effects of food, metabolism, eating habits and control. Ian Walling, my first trainer here in Toronto, really taught me a lot. Experiencing the industry, getting into competitions and just keeping my eyes and ears open has also helped greatly.

"The fact that I have the opportunity to be the best that I can be is what motivates me in this sport. Each day I wake up and have to thank God that I was fortunate to take another breath and live life to the fullest and be the best I can be. The ability to change, inspire, and help others gives me motivation to press on in my sport."

On being competitive: "I am very competitive and I have been from since I was a little child. I am competitive at all times especially when I really want something and enjoy doing it. My competitive spirit is what challenges me to be a better person, athlete, and better everything."

On reactions to her physique: "Their reactions are ones of surprise most of the time. When I'm fully-clothed, I don't look that big or that muscular, but when they see photos of me or me on-stage, they are shocked at how muscular I am."

On whether she's shocked anybody with her strength: "Yes, I picked up a man weight over 200 pounds and squatted with him on my back. Needless to say, everyone was surprised."

Future Goals: "I am very happy right now, but I am still aiming for the top. My goals are to continue being a role model for people who want to get into fitness or just want to get in shape. I am a firm believer and an advocate of the idea that you can live a happy, fun, energetic life without cigarettes, alcohol or drugs.

"I am also promoting my own business, “Fit and Fabulous”. It is a consulting business to help anyone that has any questions or needs any type of guidance with personal fitness. I would also like to continue promoting myself, my sport as well as my Organization, the WNSO World Natural Sport Organization. They are a staple structure in the Fitness Industry and they are a Natural Organization that is an advocate of drug-free bodies."
