    Future Goals: "I plan on competing at the NPC Nationals in November 2002."

    What empowers/motivates you as an athlete?: "I want to be a positive role model for people of all ages, especially children."

    On women working out: "I wish more women would work out and take better care of themselves. I cannot stand the excuse, "I don't lift weights, I don't want to get big, only toned." It kills me when I hear this."

    On people's reactions to her lifting weights: "For the most part, people react to me in a positive way. I sometimes get stares from older people who don't think that I should look the way I do."

    Were you always strong, even as a child? "I have been an athlete my entire life. I love all sports except for golf."

    Do strength and fitness come natural to you or is it mostly hard work?: "Strength and fitness come natural to me, but I will always work harder to achieve a higher goal."

    On the impact lifting has had on her life: "Being in great shape and having athletic ability landed me the Gladiator job. That was the greatest experience of my life."

    On doing her part to win the battle of the sexes: "I was the only girl on the high school junior varsity soccer team. I made the team and 10 boys got cut."
